ASQ Section 1007 April Board Meeting

 

Present: Penny Swank, Jim McGee, Dennis McGill, Mary Peirce

 

 Future Meeting Locations:

 

Issue must be addressed due to the loss of the Elks Club as viable location for future meetings.

May’s will be a plant tour of Trelleborg in South Haven.  Mary will be sending the menu out when she receives it from Colleen.  We will need to have the reservations in no later than May 1, 2009

 

 

Training Offer

 

Jim offered to teach a basic quality course at Michigan Works.  One day per week on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm – length of training based on interest of the membership.

 

Jim to investigate timing with Michigan Works and interest with membership.

 

 

Library

 

Should we relocate, the ASQ library will need to be relocated or is the library of any use to the membership.  If we use the 5 O’Clock they have a place that the library can go.

 

Financial

 

3/31/09: Section balance = $18,103.07

We have a deficit of $141.20 for the year

I have also enclosed what ASQ has recommended for standard mileage rate.

Mary has sent out the ballots.

Dennis will be going to the meeting in Grand Rapids.  He will also check on e-mail addresses and see if there is a simpler way of downloading.

 

THERE WILL NOT BE A BOARD MEETING ON MAY 7, 2009.  WE WILL HAVE AN ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING AT A LATER DATE.
